FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • I offer therapy to adults and couples

  • I believe that one of the most important components of therapy is a good fit between the therapist and client. If you are curious about working with me, I offer a free 10-15 minute consultation call so that we can briefly chat about your goals and hopes for therapy. This will also give you an opportunity to ask me any questions that you may have. If we feel that we might be a good fit after the phone consultation, we will schedule a session together

  • Please contact me to discuss my rates. I reserve a number of sliding scale spots in my practice for folks that can not afford my full fee. If you can afford my full rate, please know that this helps me provide affordable therapy to folks that are in different financial circumstances. If you are in need of sliding scale, please reach out.

  • I am not in network with any insurance plans. Some PPO insurance plans will provide partial reimbursement for out of network services.  I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company. Please contact me to inquire about superbills.

  • I meet clients in person at my office in Pasadena, or online. I am located in Los Angeles, but able to work with anyone that resides in the state of California.

  • I require 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or re-schedule an appointment. If you cancel an appointment with less than 48 hours notice, I will have to charge for the missed appointment. If you need to cancel an appointment and are able to give me more than 48 hours notice, we will find a time to reschedule.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
